EATER LIFE, a New York-rooted band, brings a distinct flavor to the underground rock scene with their unique music blend. Helmed by lead singer and songwriter Victor Kariolic, the band’s lineup includes bassist Coleman Williams, guitarist Daiven and drummer Evan Silberstein, each contributing their dynamic energy to a sound that’s raw, passionate, and unfiltered.
The journey of EATER LIFE started with Victor and Coleman’s early childhood connection—their moms performed in a play together, and the two spent countless hours in daycare forming a bond. In fifth grade, Victor formed the first iteration of EATER LIFE, but it wasn’t until years later, when the original lineup dissolved, that the band as it exists today came to life. Victor reached out to Coleman to join as bassist, bringing him into the fold. Evan answered a facebook ad and showed up at one of their gigs, and a few years later, Daiven joined as the new guitarist.
As for their intriguing band name, it came about unexpectedly. After experimenting with a few names, they landed on EATER LIFE, inspired by a friends tattoo. Another friend misread the tattoo’s phrase, and the accidental misinterpretation stuck—a perfect match for the band’s edgy, offbeat vibe.
EATER LIFE’s music is a raw reflection of their emotions and experiences. Victor writes the lyrics, often drawing inspiration from his own feelings and turning them into vivid stories. Their influences span an eclectic range of artists, from Billie Eilish’s minimalism to the unapologetic energy of Rage Against the Machine. This fusion shapes their sound into something uniquely their own, allowing them to find “a deeper connection to music, to channel our emotions into something undeniable for those who feel like tuning into what we have to say", says Victor.
On stage, EATER LIFE is an unstoppable force. Known for their high-energy performances, Victor’s connection with the audience turn every show into a wild, unforgettable experience. The band’s favorite gig to date? A packed house-party show two years ago, where the crowd’s enthusiasm was so overwhelming they had to stop letting people in.
With a string of performances at iconic venues like The Bowery Electric, Arlene’s Grocery, and Our Wicked Lady, as well as a residency at 1155 Avenue of the Americas, EATER LIFE is carving out a space for themselves in the New York underground.
Their recent self-titled EP—a four-track journey of self-discovery—is a testament to their commitment to authenticity and passion. Working with renowned producer Richard Barone (The Bongos), the EP explores themes of identity and vulnerability, offering listeners an unfiltered look at the band’s creative core.
For EATER LIFE, the future is wide open, and the band is ready to leave their mark—one electrifying performance at a time.
Victor Kariolic
Lead singer
Victor, born and raised in New York, discovered his passion for music the day his mother told him he had a great singing voice. Since then, he has dedicated himself to writing authentic lyrics and delivering captivating live performances. Bringing his thoughts and emotions to life through music, he captivates audiences with his electrifying stage presence and heartfelt performances. For him, “it's all about finding a deeper connection to music to channel our emotions into something undeniable for those who feel like tuning into what we have to say."
Daiven
Bass
Daiven Leath is a Brooklyn-born, LaGrange–based bassist who picked up the instrument in 2024, turning to music as a way to process a difficult period in his life. He joined the band in October, focusing on locking in the low end while steadily developing his own voice within the group’s sound. For Daiven, playing bass is deeply cathartic, offering a way to express feelings that are often hard to put into words.
Evan Silberstein
Drums
With over 15 years of drumming experience, Evan grew up surrounded by music, from playing with his siblings to answering a Facebook ad that ultimately led him to EATER LIFE. One of his favorite moments so far has been performing at The Bowery Electric, and he’s eager to see where the band’s journey takes them—though his heart always remains with his family, his favorite place in the world.
Coleman Williams
Guitar
Starting his musical journey with the saxophone during childhood, Coleman eventually fell in love with guitar for its versatility and its essential role in making memorable music. Inspired by bands like The Story So Far and The Smiths, Coleman feels most alive when performing on stage and dreams of one day, opening for his idols.
